The 23rd Lights on After School Day is 10/20/22. Lights On After School is a nationwide event celebrating after school programs & their important role in the lives of children. In addition to competitive sports, Milan C-2 is proud to offer numerous after school programs.

Yesterday, our HS Art Club went to the local nursing home and painted pumpkins with the residents. These students were recognized at the board meeting tonight for the multiple acts of community outreach. Great job Art Club and Ms. Thompson!
Former Milan C-2 Student Nathan Miller came back to the Agriculture Mechanics Class today to teach some of our students how to TIG weld. Nathan attended State Technical College to earn his degree and now has started his own welding business. Thanks again Nathan for working with our students.

Milan FFA was honored to assist with the Roy Blunt Reservoir naming Ceremony today. Our members worked in conjunction with Green City and Newtown-Harris FFA members. We appreciated the opportunity and our members learned a great deal about the lake project.
Kindergarten will be going to Uptown Farms on October 14th, 2022 at 8:30 a.m. Students need to wear tennis shoes and a jacket. Students will eat a sack lunch provided by the school for lunch.

Our very own Ms. Logan Fullerton was among a select few this past weekend - she participated in a lengthy research project (as a part of her undergraduate studies) and was able to present the information to the American Association for Agricultural Education at the North Central Regional Research Conference! Her advisor, Dr. John Tummons, presented with her. The topic was Novice Teacher Content Knowledge for traditional and alternatively certified teachers within Agricultural education.
