🎓SENIOR SPOTLIGHT🎓
Tate Morehead will be a 2022 graduate of Milan C-2 High School and is the son of Nathen and Syntitha Morehead and brother of Dre Morehead. His favorite childhood memory is pirate hunting with his grandma, Dre, and Kaden. His favorite high school memory is going to the Final Four for basketball and then going to skyzone after with the entire basketball team.
The class Tate enjoyed the most was P.E. because volleyball gets really competitive in that class. Outside of school, Tate enjoys watching UFC and spending time with his grandma. The three words that best describe him are comedic, opinionated, and stubborn.
After High School, Tate plans to go straight to work in the construction field. In 10 years, he sees himself in a lake house enjoying life. Three things on his bucket list are to own a sports car, invest in real estate, and own multiple houses.
The person he admires most is his grandma because she has always tried to brighten his day no matter how sick he was and was always there for him.
The thing Tate will miss the most about Milan C-2 High School is the volleyball tournaments. The advice Tate would give underclassmen is, “Live your life, you’re not going to be around your whole life to do the things you want.”

🎓SENIOR SPOTLIGHT🎓
Deric Doporto will be a 2022 graduate of Milan C-2 High School and is the son of Paula McCabe and Edgar Doporto and brother of Jade and Darren Doporto and Nathen McCabe. His favorite activity to do with his family is going to grandpa's house and having dinner. His favorite childhood memory is going turkey hunting with grandpa.
Deric has been involved in track (2 years), baseball (4 years), and football (4 years) at Milan C-2. The activity he enjoys most is football because he gets to spend time with his friends doing what he loves. His favorite high school memory is when his team played Hamilton Penney for districts and went into double overtime.
The class Deric enjoyed the most was Chemistry because you never know what is going to happen each day. His biggest pet peeve is when people chew with their mouth open. Outside of school, Deric enjoys going hunting and fishing. If he had one wish it would be to own a big farm. The three words that best describe him are athletic, outgoing, and leader.
After High School, Deric plans to attend Central Methodist University to play football and track and major in physical therapy. In 10 years, he sees himself trying out for the NFL. Three things on his bucket list are killing a 200 inch deer, catching a record fish, and owning cows.
The person he admires most is his grandpa, Paul McCabe, because no matter what was going on he was always there. The teacher that had the biggest impact on Deric is Mrs. Herington because she is always there if you need anything and always has an answer to any question you ask.
Deric will miss his friends the most from his time at Milan C-2 High School. If there was one way he could be remembered at MHS, it would be as the kid that always had a beard since 6th grade. The advice Deric would give underclassmen is, “Never take your freshman year for granted because it will come back to haunt you.”
