Our 1st & 2nd Grade Wildcats are heading to Living History Farms on Thursday, October 22, 2026!
⏰ Important: Students need to report to their homerooms by 6:15 a.m. The bus will leave promptly at 6:30 a.m.
🥞 Eat breakfast at home before coming to school.
👟 Wear tennis shoes—we’ll be doing lots of walking!
🎒 Do NOT bring a backpack to school.
🥪 Lunch will be provided.
🚌 We expect to return to school around 5:00 p.m. PICK UP will be behind the school!

Help us celebrate safely and respectfully by following these costume guidelines:
• No masks, full face paint, fake weapons, or fake blood.
• No costumes depicting violence, alcohol, or drugs, or costumes that are offensive or stereotype a culture, gender, heritage, or religion.
• Costumes must allow students to participate in class, P.E., recess, and lunch, move safely through hallways, and use the restroom independently. Please consider possible lunch spills!
• Students with inappropriate costumes or difficulty staying focused and behaving appropriately will be asked to change into regular school clothes.
🎒 Preschool students should bring their costumes to change into later.
💚 An alternative activity will be provided for students who do not celebrate Halloween.

Every Wednesday, our staff and students will be sharing their Wildcat Wins—big or small victories worth celebrating! 🏆✨ We’ll be posting them right here each week!
Missouri’s school report card is one tool for understanding how schools are performing. Although it is often called an “A–F report card,” Missouri’s reporting system is part of the Missouri Comprehensive Data System (MCDS).
The report card being released in the coming week includes information about:
Academic achievement: Student performance in English Language Arts, Mathematics, and Science.
The A–F report card is helpful, but it represents only one part of the overall picture. Our district will continue to receive an APR, which provides a more comprehensive view of district performance. The A–F report card was introduced in response to an executive order signed by the Governor.
DESE is expected to release another report card in spring 2027 based on spring 2026 assessments. In September 2027, DESE is expected to release a report card that will show growth, Lexile reading scores, college and career readiness, spring 2027 assessments, and potentially some demographic data. This report is expected to provide a fuller picture that is more representative of our district.
I encourage you to follow the report card results over time and look for trends as DESE releases additional information. A single score does not tell the whole story for our district, just as it doesn’t tell the whole story for an individual student. We will do our best to provide context about the results and share our plans for continuous improvement. We know our 24-25 MAP and EOC scores were not where we want them to be. We have put various plans in place to improve, and I believe that as each new report card result comes out from now until September 2027, you will be able to see the growth we have accomplished and our commitment to provide the best education possible for our students.
Again, please remember this initial report card is based on old scores from the 24-25 school year only and does not reflect the current standing of our district. If a particular measure raises questions or concerns, please reach out to school administration.
