Dear Milan C-2 Family –
We are writing to make you aware of a recent cybersecurity incident involving PowerSchool, a software vendor which provides our Student Information System (SIS).
On Tuesday, January 7, 2025, PowerSchool informed our leadership team that they experienced a cybersecurity incident involving unauthorized access to certain PowerSchool SIS customer data. Unfortunately, they confirmed at 4:35 today that some of the information belongs to members of our Wildcat families and educators.
PowerSchool informed us that the taken data primarily includes parent and student contact information with data elements such as name and address information. Across their customer base, they have determined that for a portion of individuals, some personally identifiable information (PII), such as social security numbers (SSN) and medical information, was impacted. They are working with urgency to complete their investigation and determine whether PII belonging to our students was included.
Protecting our students is something we take seriously. With PowerSchool’s help, more information and resources (including credit monitoring or identity protection services if applicable) will be provided to you as it becomes available.
Thank you for your patience and understanding.
Sincerely,
Milan C-2 Schools

💛🎉🏀💚All Milan C-2 players in program history with 1,000 points or more will be recognized at halftime of the boys' game on January 10, 2025!💛🎉🏀💚

Congratulations to Mrs. Morris, the Milan C-2 Educational Assistant of the Month! Here is what the staff had to say about Mrs. Morris:
🎉Mrs. Morris is new to the position but has jumped in with both feet. She helps students in the high school to complete work and stay on top of their assignments. General education teachers are grateful for her support in their classrooms. In addition, the students love the "Joke of the day" that Mrs. Morris has for them every morning. She is a true asset to the team!
🎉Alexis Morris has gone above and beyond in my classes. I was nervous at first, since many of my students have not had an Ed assist for a few years, but immediately she navigated the role with ease, ensuring the students never felt singled out, while making sure they stayed on top of their work and understood the assignments. She participates in our class competition and shows the students that not only ELA teachers read. She has great initiative and always helps any of my students if they have a question. She helps keep students on track while also creating strong relationships with them. She always arrives to my class eager and approaches my content with excitement too! I couldn't ask for a better Ed assistant!!!
🎉Alexis works so hard to make sure every student succeeds, she goes out of her way to make sure they have completed their assignments to the best of their ability and always has their best interest at heart.
