🎉🎉2025 Senior Spotlight 🎉🎉Jewell Brianna Wheeler will be a 2025 graduate of Milan C-2 High School. She is the daughter of Elisa Dixon and sister of Nevaeh Wheeler, Nathaniel Rodriguez, Jaeland Burton, Jose, Esmerelda, and Yasmin Gonzalez. Her favorite family activity is going to her aunt's annual Thanksgiving dinner. Her favorite childhood memory is riding a Kawasaki four-wheeler with her grandpa. Jewell Wheeler has been involved in Color Guard (3), Art Club (4), Multicultural Club (2), and Upward Bound (1) at Milan C-2. The activity she enjoys most is Art Club because she got to volunteer at the nursing home, paint murals, visit art museums, and be involved in other artistic activities. Her favorite high school memory is when her sister graduated because it was a very sentimental moment and the start to a stronger sisterly bond. The class Jewell enjoyed the most was Art class; Ms. Thompson challenged her artistic abilities and always made sure Jewell persevered through challenges. Her biggest pet peeve is when people disrespect their elders.   Outside of school, Jewell enjoys going to work, spending time with family, and baking desserts for friends and family to enjoy. If she had one wish, it would be for all her loved ones to achieve every goal they set. The three words that best describe her are artistic, hard-working, and intimidating. After high school, Jewell plans to attend a cosmetology school in Columbia, Missouri, and study business online. In 10 years, she sees herself owning a beauty salon, getting married, and having a variety of pets: a boa, golden retriever, and miniature pig. Three things on her bucket list are to travel, open a beauty salon, and keep in touch with her friends. The person she admires most is her big sister. Nevaeh goes out of her way to show she ‌cares about Jewell. When Nevaeh had premature twins, she stayed strong through their time in the hospital it showed her how far her sister is willing to go for the people she loves. The teacher that had the biggest impact on Jewell is her 8th grade Algebra teacher, Mrs. Dodson. Mrs. Dodson pushed Jewell to do the best she could, soon making her love math. The thing Jewell will miss the most about Milan C-2 High School is hanging out with her friends and always having a good laugh. If there was one way she could be remembered at MHS, it would be as the white girl who speaks Spanish. The advice Jewell would give underclassmen is to stop trying to fit in and to stand out.

She is the daughter of Steve and Gina Eddy and the sister of Dustin, Trace, and Coltyn Eddy, Zane Dailing, and Jacobi Keller. Her favorite activity to do with her family is to go on cruises. Her favorite childhood memory is spending time with her Grammy for a week each summer, baking cakes, playing Uno, and going thrift shopping while her parents were out of town on their bike trips.  Keagan has been involved in Softball (4), Art Club (4), Upward Bound (3), National Honor Society (2), FFA (2), Golf (1), and Color Guard (4), in which she served 2 years as team captain at Milan C-2. She has been awarded Wildcat of the Week, Student of the Month, Advanced Star Reader, Wildcat MVP, art rewards, and numerous awards for softball, including All-District 2nd team outfielder. The activity she enjoyed most was softball because she has been playing it ever since she was little, and it has been a big part of her life. Her favorite high school memory is when the Art Club would go to the Milan Nursing Home to do holiday-themed activities with the residents.  The classes Keagan enjoyed the most were art class and English college prep. Art class allowed her to express creativity and confide in Ms.Thompson. While college prep gave her the time to enjoy reading again.  Her biggest pet peeve is when people have no common sense. Outside of school, Keagan enjoys seeing friends and family and spending time at home baking delicious goodies. If she had two wishes, it would be to see her Grammy one last time and to have unlimited baking supplies. The three words that best describe her are enthusiastic, charismatic, and kind-hearted. After High School, Keagan plans to attend North Central Missouri College online while being an Educational Assistant. After completing her associate's degree, she plans to transfer to Central Methodist for her 3rd and 4th to receive her Early Childhood Education degree and become a kindergarten or first-grade teacher. In 10 years, she sees herself buying her parents' house, starting a family, and being a successful teacher here in Milan C-2.  Three things on her bucket list are going to Alaska, traveling on more cruises, and growing her baking.  The people she admires the most are her mom and dad because no matter what gets thrown at them, they keep going and never give up. They have always shown her to stay positive no matter the situation and are her biggest supporters, always being there no matter what. They push her to do her best and provide endless love. Her parents have shown her what hard work and dedication are, and proven that it does pay off. The teacher/coach who had the biggest impact on Keagan is Ms. Doak; she’s always there to listen when Keagan needs someone to talk to and never fails to bring a smile to her face. She showed her to never quit, whether it was in the classroom or on the field, and has always been someone Keagan could go to in any situation. Keagan will miss their daily hugs and conversations.  The thing Keagan will miss the most about Milan C-2 High School is all the little ones that she cadeted for, who were always excited to see her. If there was one way she could be remembered at MHS, it would be as a role model to younger kids. The advice Keagan would give underclassmen is to not wish time away and to live in the moment before it is too late.  ¨Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.¨ - Dr. Seuss

🎉🎉2025 Senior Spotlight 🎉🎉Carzylene Sancho will be a 2025 graduate of Milan C-2 High School. She is the daughter of Carz Sancho and Mylene Sancho and sister of Cristel Sarah de Castro, Carl Nina Sancho, and Carl Dhavid Sancho. Her favorite family activity is going camping during the summertime.  Her favorite childhood memory is playing badminton outside with her friends. Carzylene has been involved in Art Club (1 year), Multicultural Club (1 year), Book Club (1 year), and National Honor Society (2 years) at Milan C-2. The activities she enjoys most are reading and painting because they give her peace and clear her mind from other worries. Her favorite high school memory is when she would gather with her friends during lunchtime. The class Carzylene enjoyed the most was Art Class because she gets to explore her creativity, it’s also a great way for her to unwind and relax, and she gets to hang out with her friends in that class. Her biggest pet peeve is when people give her unsolicited feedback.   Outside of school, Carzylene enjoys going out with her loved ones or staying in and simply enjoying the tranquility of being at home. If she had one wish, it would be for everyone to experience genuine connections and friendships that bring joy and support into their lives. The three words that best describe her are creative, curious, and kind. After High School, Carzylene plans to go to college at NCMC(North Central Missouri College) to get her license in Practical Nursing. In 10 years, she sees herself as someone successful and happy with what she does. Three things on her bucket list are learning to paint realistic portraits, traveling around the world, and learning another language. The person she admires most is Mrs. Gray because she always finds a way to push her to do her very best in Spanish Class, and aside from being a teacher, she also became a friend, one that Carzylene admires and cherishes. The teacher who influenced Carzylene the most is Ms. Pearson. She took the time to listen and encourage, pushing her to strive for excellence. Her support helped build Carzylene's confidence in her abilities. The thing that Carzylene will miss the most about Milan C-2 High School is Book Club because she gets to read books that piqued her interest, and she gets to snack with her friends. If there was one way she could be remembered at MHS, it would be ”The artistic try-hard” because every time in art class, she and her friends would joke around about how she tries hard with all of her art pieces. The advice Carzylene would give underclassmen is to enjoy every moment in school. These years fly by; the friends and experiences you make now will shape your future.

🎉🎉2025 Senior Spotlight 🎉🎉Bailey White will be a 2025 graduate of Milan C-2 High School and is the daughter of Brandon White, & Kelli Clariday, and Sister of Colton, & Gemma White and Annabel Clariday.   Her favorite activity to do with her family is spending time together on the farm, or just staying up late watching movies together. Her favorite childhood memory is running around outside with her puppies, and horse “Partner.”   Bailey White has been involved in FFA for 4 years, Art Club for 2 years, and her Softball year got cut short due to her knee injury. The activity she enjoys most is FFA, because FFA has a lot to do with her future plans, and has had a great learning impact on her life and future career. Her favorite high school memory was convincing Mr. Smith that a “rat” had run across the floor, then everyone (including him) jumping up onto chairs/desks.  The class Bailey White enjoyed the most was Mr. Hayes Cat Time class because no matter how rough of a day she was having, he would always try his best to put a smile back on her face. Her biggest pet peeve is when people complain about not having money, but refuse to try getting a job.   Outside of school, Bailey enjoys working and doing things on the farm with her family. If she had one wish, it would be that she becomes successful and is able to make her family proud. The three words that best describe her are Independent, Assertive, and hardworking. After High School, Bailey plans to continue working at Sullivan County Memorial Hospital, then hopes to graduate from an AVMA program to become a Veterinary Technician.  In 10 years, she sees herself raising her own family and being her own personal Livestock Veterinarian. Three things on her bucket list are to build a home in the country, travel to Montana, and own a few Miniature Highland Cows.  The person she admires most are her parents because no matter what obstacles life has thrown at her, they both have never doubted her value, or stopped pushing her to stand tall and keep her head held high. The teacher that had the biggest impact on Bailey is Mr. Hayes because although she never had a math class with him, she has always enjoyed going into his classroom throughout the day to pick on him.  The thing Bailey will miss the most about Milan C-2 High School is the bonds that everyone has grown with each other, and the family that has been made, with students and/or teachers.  If there was one way she could be remembered at MHS, it would be the student that stayed out of drama and tried to be cordial with everyone. The advice Bailey would give underclassmen is to live and really experience life, you might think you have it all together but things change in the blink of an eye & there is no need to rush, so sit back and enjoy the little things while you

🎉🎉2025 Senior Spotlight 🎉🎉Kylee Dawn Smith will be a 2025 graduate of Milan C-2 High School. She is the daughter of Stacey Bowe and Gingo Smith and the sister of Greyson Smith. Her favorite activity to do with her family is relaxing and watching movies. Her favorite childhood memory is going to her Grandma Mary’s every day before school and sitting on her Grandpa’s lap to watch Looney Tunes. Kylee has been involved in Cheer (4) where she spent 1 year as captain, TopCats (3) where she spent 1 year as captain, FFA (4), Upward Bound (3), National Honor Society (2), Art Club (2), FBLA (2), Golf (1), Color Guard(1), Multicultural Club (1), Science Club (1), Student Council (1). She received the reward, Most Involved Wildcat, in the year 2023-2024 at Milan C-2. The activity she enjoys most is TopCats because she believes that life is like a dancefloor; you have to ignore the moves everyone else is making and dance to your rhythm. Her favorite high school memories were the factors leading up to breaks. Also, being able to miss school with it being excused.  The class Kylee enjoyed the most was Anatomy and Physiology because Mrs. Herrington always made the content enjoyable, there was never a dull moment. Kylee’s biggest pet peeve is when people act like they have no brain or common sense.  Outside of school, Kylee enjoys watching movies with family and friends, riding around with friends, and going out to eat. If she had one wish, it would be to bring her grandpas back and be able to spend time with them: watching TV, going hunting, and eating Reese's peanut butter cups. The three words that best describe her are firecracker, straightforward, and sassy. After High School, Kylee plans to attend North Central Missouri College where she will receive a nursing degree. She plans to go to nursing school to become an LPN in the first year and an RN in the second year. In 10 years, she sees herself having her own house, starting a family, and working in a big hospital as an RN in the emergency room. Three things on her bucket list are to travel to Dubai, create a wonderful family, and make enough money to buy all the shoes in the world. The person she admires most is her mom because no matter what life throws at her, she constantly keeps pushing and never gives up. She is the strongest person she knows and continues to push her to be the best version of herself. Life is not always easy, but she finds the light in each day. Her mom has always done anything and everything to make sure Kylee is happy and living the best life. Days are not always perfect as mother and daughter but in the end, Kylee’s mom could never love her more than she does now.  The coach who had the biggest impact on Kylee is Coach Holt because she never gave up on her and continued to see the potential she had. Kylee regards Coach Holt as the best coach to have for cheer and dance. She expresses that there has never been a dull moment in practice or games. Bus rides to away games always gave her and her teammates the opportunity to bond and become closer, especially with the coaches. Kylee asserts that Coach Holt always felt like a mom to her at school. Thank You, Coach Holt, for being a role model and having such a kind heart.  The thing Kylee will miss the most about Milan C-2 High School is being able to see the underclassmen girls that she is close with in the halls. If there was one way she could be remembered at MHS, it would be as a cheerleader for the little ones.  The advice Kylee would give underclassmen is to appreciate the little things and make the most of them. Ask questions and be responsible for your grades, so your parents do not have to. Be involved in everything. Go to prom and dress up for spirit weeks. Overall, slow down and do not take the time you have left for granted because it goes by faster than you could imagine.  “You can’t go back and change the beginning, but you can start where you are and change the ending.” - C.S. Lewis
