🎉🎉2026 Senior Spotlight 🎉🎉Today, we’re celebrating one of our seniors! 🎓

Emmanuel Antonio Aguilar Beltran, known as Manny, will be a 2026 graduate of Milan C-2 High School and is the son of Jose Luis Aguilar and Manuela Beltran, and brother of Brenda, Luis, and Berry Aguilar. His favorite activity to do with his family is getting together for the day and shopping. His favorite childhood memory is going to Mexico every summer with his family.

Manny has been involved in Football (4 years), Track (4 years), FBLA (4 years), and Multicultural Club(1 year).  The activities he enjoys most are Football and Track because they allow him to compete with others and challenge himself. Even on the hardest practice days, he still finds joy in the experience. His favorite high school memory is when the football team was conference and district champions, and made it to the State Semi-Finals his sophomore year.

The class Manny enjoyed the most was Mrs. Coursey's because it allowed him to realize his skill and gave him a peaceful escape where he could enjoy time with his friends and have fun. His biggest pet peeve is people who are not genuine and act differently behind others' backs.

Outside of school, Manny enjoys spending time with friends and family, nature, working out, and fishing. If he had one wish, it would be that he fully embraced and took advantage of every opportunity life gave him. The three words that best describe him are low-key, uniquely funny, and compassionate.

After High School, Manny plans to attend Grand River Technical School and pursue a career in the Electrical Field. In 10 years, he sees himself becoming his own boss as an Electrical Contractor, settling down with a nice house and car, and having mostly what he has ever wanted. Three things on his bucket list are traveling the world, retiring his parents to repay them for their sacrifices, and reaching his fitness goals to become the strongest version of himself.

The person he admires most is his Dad because of his constant support, guidance, and the life lessons that shaped him. He taught him to give selflessly and lead by example, showing him what it truly means to be a good man.

The coach who had the biggest impact on Manny is Coach Mrs. Dabney, because she pushed him when he needed it most and never let him settle. She taught him to stop feeling sorry for himself, be disciplined and resilient, and to give his best effort at all times, lessons that go far beyond sports.

The thing Manny will miss the most about Milan C-2 High School is the moments that felt ordinary, laughing with his best friends, joking with teachers, and just being surrounded by people who made every day better. Especially the feeling of just being in a classroom with the people he grew up with, sharing those moments, and the memories that didn't seem big at the time but meant everything. It was a time being young, carefree, and a little clueless with them is something he knows he’ll never experience the same way again.

If there was one way he could be remembered at MHS, it would be for always showing up well-dressed, and carrying himself with confidence. The advice Manny would give underclassmen is to be true to who you are and do what makes you find joy and peace. Don't let others influence your decisions. Step out of your comfort zone and try new things, whether it's a sport, club, or activity; you might discover something you love. Choose positivity over drama and always value your time with the people closest to you, because those moments don't last forever.

Oscar Lopez Jr. will be a 2026 graduate of Milan C-2 High School and is the son of Pilar and Oscar Lopez and brother of Mia and Oliver Lopez. His favorite activity to do with his family is going to the movie theaters. His favorite childhood memory is going to Legoland

Oscar has been involved in Scholarbowl (4 years), FBLA (2 years), and Golf (3 years) at Milan C-2. The activity he enjoys most is Scholar Bowl because of the amazing people and memories he made. His favorite high school memory is when he would hang out with Jackson Smith, Adan Callejo, and Drew McAlister after Scholar Bowl meets.

The class Oscar enjoyed the most was geometry because he had to do zero homework. His biggest pet peeve is people being jerks to others.

Outside of school, Oscar enjoys collecting records, playing video games, and spending time with others. If he had one wish, it would be to see the future. The three words that best describe him are loving, funny, and smart.

After High School, Oscar plans to attend Mizzou and get a degree in engineering.  In 10 years, he sees himself having a wife and living comfortably. Three things on his bucket list are skydiving, bungee jumping, and traveling across Mexico.

The person he admires the most is his dad because of how hard he has worked for everything he has. The teacher who had the biggest impact on Oscar is Zoie Pearson because of how much fun she made the Scholar Bowl trips.

The thing Oscar will miss the most about Milan C-2 High School is the people. If there was one way he could be remembered at MHS, it would be as the smart, unproblematic guy. The advice Oscar would give underclassmen is to cherish the time you have in high school because before you know it, it’s over.

🎉🎉2026 Senior Spotlight 🎉🎉Today, we’re celebrating one of our seniors! 🎓

Marian Rose Dabney will be a 2026 graduate of Milan C-2 High School and is the daughter of John and Andrea Dabney and sister of Ryan and Dominic Dabney.  Her favorite activity to do with her family is watch sports games. Her favorite childhood memory is traveling around every weekend for her brother's basketball tournaments.

Marian has been involved in Softball(4), Basketball(4), Track(4), Tech Intern(3), FBLA(2), and National Honors Society(2) at Milan C-2.  The activity she enjoys most is basketball because it is her place to relax and not think about anything else. Her favorite high school memories are when they made it to the District Championship her Junior year for basketball and when she made it on the podium at State Track.

The class Marian enjoyed the most was P.E. because she could play games with her friends and play her mom in ping-pong. Her biggest pet peeve is chewing with your mouth open.

Outside of school, Marian enjoys hanging out with her friends and family.  If she had one wish it would be for the ability to time travel. The three words that best describe her are competitive, conscientious, and compassionate.

After High School, Marian plans to attend Coe College to play basketball and obtain a degree in Exercise Science. In 10 years, she sees herself financially stable, married, and starting her own family. Three things on her bucket list are to meet Cailtin Clark, travel to Greece, and to own a pink Ford Bronco.

The person she admires most is her mom because no matter what she had going on she dropped whatever it was to support her and her brothers. She has shown her the importance of hard work, patience, and sacrifice for people. The way she handles life inspires Marian to grow and do her best.

The coach who had the biggest impact on Marian was Coach Hurley because of his strength and selflessness. No matter what was going on in his life, he still showed up every day and never let it affect how he coached. He showed her the importance of putting others first and staying strong even during tough times.

The thing Marian will miss the most about Milan C-2 High School is seeing her friends and spending time with Mrs. Widner’s class every morning. The advice Marian would give underclassmen is to stay on top of your work and join whatever clubs or activities that interest you.

Outside of school, Hunter enjoys fishing, hunting, riding, and hanging out with friends, family, and his girlfriend.  If he had one wish, it would be to become a millionaire so he wouldn't have to work. The three words that best describe him are funny, outgoing, and determined.
