🎉🎉2025 Senior Spotlight 🎉🎉Leslie Aileen Bahena will be a 2025 graduate of Milan C-2 High School. She is the daughter of Wendy Nunez and Reynaldo Bahena and the sister of Ashley and Kaley Bahena. Her favorite activity to do with her family is traveling to Milwaukee to visit her mom's side of the family. Her favorite childhood memory is when she and her cousin Yoseline would sing karaoke to be able to spend the night together.
Leslie has been involved in Cheer (2), Colorguard (2), Multicultural (4), FBLA (4), and FFA (1) at Milan C-2. The activity she enjoys most is the Multicultural Club because she enjoys participating in activities related to her culture. Her favorite high school memory is when she ran over a bright orange cone coming out of the school parking lot.
The class Leslie enjoyed the most was art because there was no math involved, and she got to talk to her friends. Her biggest pet peeve is when her parents tell her “no”.
Outside of school, Leslie enjoys going to the gym, napping, and going to Baile's. If she had one wish, it would be to have a black card in her wallet. Four words that best describe her are: One, Of, A, Kind.
After High School, Leslie plans to attend The Z Academy in Kansas City and pursue a cosmetology and esthetician path. In 10 years, she sees herself living next to Nayshla Hernandez in Houston, Texas, owning her own salon, having 2 kids, and owning a beautiful house with two Dobermans. Three things on her bucket list are to attend a lantern festival, meet These Foos, and get a 2025 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing.
The person she admires most is her sister, Ashley Bahena, because she is a very hard-working person. Leslie strives to be like her big sister because she was the first in her family to finish her schooling and get into her dream job. Ashley never doubted Leslie and always supported all 10 different career paths that she wanted to major in because she was very indecisive and changed her mind every month.
The teacher who had the biggest impact on Leslie was Mrs. Brittney Pearson because she always made sure to check up on Leslie. Although Leslie got switched out of her cat time freshman year, Mrs. Pearson always included her in things she would do for her cat class.
The thing Leslie will miss the most about Milan C-2 High School is Friday Night Lights and being able to see her friends every day. If there was one way she could be remembered at MHS, it would be as the best nail tech. The advice Leslie would give to underclassmen is that if you're already late to school, you might as well go get some breakfast.

Brody Dean Trent will be a 2025 graduate of Milan C-2 High School. He is the son of Jeff Tent and brother of Chase and Reed Trent. His favorite activity to do with his family is spending time outdoors, such as hunting, fishing, and camping. His favorite childhood memory is going to his grandma's with his brother, sister, and his 2 cousins.
Brody has been involved in Baseball (4), Football (4), FFA (4), Trap (3), and NHS (2) at Milan C-2. The activity he enjoys most is baseball because of the memories he and his friends made while playing. His favorite high school memory is when he and his friends played tag in the hallways and the teachers joined in.
The class Brody enjoyed the most was Ag Machinery because he got to learn how to run a skid steer. His biggest pet peeve is when people smack their lips.
Outside of school, Brody enjoys hunting, hanging out with friends and family, working, and racing his four-wheeler. If he had one wish, it would be to be a millionaire. The three words that best describe him are energetic, funny, and outgoing.
After high school, Brody plans to attend the Lincoln Electrical Joint Apprenticeship and Training Center. In 10 years, he sees himself working for an electrical company, owning a house with a bunch of land, and having a family. Three things on his bucket list are to complete the wild turkey grand slam, visit another country, and own land.
The person he admires most is his dad because he taught him to be strong and work hard. The coach who had the biggest impact on Brody is Coach Dodson because he always believed in Brody and reminded his players never to quit. Coach Dodson also taught Brody that you get as much as you put in.
The things Brody will miss the most about Milan C-2 High School are having fun with his friends and playing sports. If there was one way he could be remembered at MHS, it would be as an energetic and active student. The advice Brody would give underclassmen is to have fun and live a little in high school while you still have the opportunity to.

Delaney has been involved in Cheer(1), Softball (3), Basketball(4), FFA (4), NHS (2), and Student Council (3) at Milan C-2. The activity she enjoys most is softball because she enjoys playing the game and spending time with her teammates.
Her favorite high school memory is anytime she was on the softball field with her teammates.
The class Delaney enjoyed the most was Advanced Greenhouse because she liked to go out and water her plants and watch them grow every day. Her biggest pet peeve is when she has to repeat herself multiple times.
Outside of school, Delaney enjoys reading and spending time with her family. If she had one wish, it would be to be able to have one more season of softball. The three words that best describe her are funny, kind, and driven.
After High School, Delaney plans to attend North Central Missouri College to pursue her Early Childhood Development degree to become an elementary teacher. In 10 years, she sees herself married with 2-3 kids and being a kindergarten teacher in rural Missouri. Three things on her bucket list are to go to Hawaii, visit Jellystone Park in Hannibal with her friends, and have a library in her house.
The person she admires most is her mom because no matter what she has going on, she shows up to support her.
The teachers that had the biggest impact on Delaney are Ms. Fullerton and Mr. Sayre because they have always pushed her to do her best, as well as help her with anything she needs help with.
The thing Delaney will miss the most about Milan C-2 High School is the environment and the people. If there was one way she could be remembered at MHS, it would be as a good student. The advice Delaney would give underclassmen is to do their homework and get good grades starting freshman year.
The 6th Grade Celebration will be here before you know it! If you haven't already, please submit THREE (3) individual pictures of your 6th grader to Mrs. Hodge by April 16, 2025. Emailing them will provide the best quality when displayed on the video. You can email them directly to jhodge@milan.k12.mo.us. If you can not email a digital copy of the pictures, you may send them in with your student. They will be scanned and returned to your student.
You may also submit group pictures of your student with friends for the video. Pictures from field trips throughout the years would be a great addition to our video.
Changes are being made in the courtyard! The senior service project is officially underway. 😃 we can't wait to see this space transform.
Today, our 7-12 students had the opportunity to enjoy a concert from Truman's Clarinet Choir, featuring our very own alumni, Adan Callejo! Thank you to Mr. Gooch for setting this up and thank you to TSU for sending us your students to perform!!

REMINDER: All Milan C-2-issued devices and books must be returned to the school. Elementary Chromebooks, chargers, cases, and Kajeets are due April 16, 2025. Library books are due May 2, 2025.

She is the sister of Tristan Truitt, Lynnlee Key, Kameron Key, and Abel Key. Her favorite activity to do with her family is watch movies and hang out. Her favorite childhood memory is traveling to Idaho with her mom.
Emma has been involved in Basketball (3) Softball(4) Track(1) National Honor Society(3) FFA(4) Future Teachers of America(4) FCA(4) at Linn County R-1, and Basketball(1) National Honor Society(1) FFA(1) at Milan C-2. The activity she enjoys most is basketball because her teammates made practice and games enjoyable. Her favorite high school memory is when the weights kids go to gym and play games.
The class Emma enjoyed the most was food science because she learned how to bake. Her biggest pet peeve is people changing plans last minute.
Outside of school, Emma enjoys fishing, working, and hanging out with friends and family. If she had one wish it would be to always have my mom by her side. The three words that best describe her are hardworking, extroverted, and honest.
After high school, Emma plans to be in the Air Force National Guard and join a Pipefitters union. In 10 years, she sees herself living in a small town with her significant other and kids. Three things on her bucket list are travel to the 30 states she hasn’t seen, go out of the United States, and skydive.
The person she admires most is her mom because her mom taught her how to love people unconditionally as well as work for the things she has. Her mom also taught her how to be hardworking. The teacher that had the biggest impact on Emma is Miss Fullerton because she was the first teacher she met when she moved schools. Miss Fullerton has taught her to never give up.
The thing Emma will miss the most about Milan C-2 High School is the tight knit community she has here. If there was one way she could be remembered at MHS, it would be that she helps others when they need it. The advice Emma would give underclassmen is don’t let others make you feel bad about yourself. Go to all those events your friends invite you to. Have fun and enjoy your four years of high school.
Students who attend KATC for VoTech will go to KATC tomorrow (MONDAY 4/14), Tuesday (4/15), & Wednesday (4/16) this week. Students will have Thursday and Friday off aligning with the MC2 academic calendar.
