Congratulations to Adan Callejo for being named “Wildcat of the Week”! One of the many awards he received this year was the “John Philip Sousa” Award. This prestige award has been around since 1955 and given to the top high school student in band. Adan's character shines every single day here at Milan C-2 School District.

The 5th and 6th Grade field trip to the Science Center of Iowa is on May 14th. The bus will leave at 6:45 am. Please drop them off at the Cafeteria doors. Students will need money for lunch. The estimated return time is 4:30 pm.
Reminder: The last day of school is Friday, 5/17/24, and will be dismissed at 11:45 AM. Lunch will not be served. Summer School will begin on Tuesday, 5/22/24.
New KINDERGARTEN parents: Leaving your kindergarten child on the first day of school can be emotional for both the child & the parent. For this reason, on May 21 from 2:00-4:00 pm, we have decided to host a couple of hours for you and your kindergarten child to come to school to meet us and see the rooms. A letter with more information on summer school and your child's summer school teacher will be mailed in the next few days.

Milan C-2 Graduation will be held on Sunday, May 19, 2024, at 2:00 pm in the High School Gym.
Please join us for our 2024 Sixth Grade Celebration! The celebration will begin at 5:30 pm TONIGHT, May 10th, 2024 at Cal Hubbard Stadium. Sixth-grade students report to the library at 5:00 pm. 5th & 6th Grade Street dance immediately following until 8:00 pm. (The street behind the school will be closed for student safety!)
Congratulations to our 2024 MVPs! These students were recognized in front of their families this morning at a breakfast hosted by FBLA. Students didn't know which staff member nominated them or why they were nominated. MVPs were revealed one-by-one as staff members took turns talking about their MVP and why they chose them. This ceremony is extra special and a great way to recognized students for perseverance, involvement, good character, work ethic, and so much more. We are so proud of each and every one of you! #TheRealMVPs
