🎉🎉2025 Senior Spotlight 🎉🎉Gunner Baker will be a 2025 graduate of Milan C-2 High School. He is the son of Brooke Boyd, and Joseph and Brandy Baker. He is the brother of Eston Baker, Taleena Weaver, Clayton Baker, Kyler Baker, Kamden Baker, Max Sibley, Leon Sibley, and—his favorite of all—Jalen Boyd. His favorite activities to do with his family are fishing, SxS riding, and hanging out with his girlfriend, Kenadie Dover. His favorite childhood memory is going to his Grandma B’s house. He remembers sitting on the cabinet while she baked oatmeal cookies and sneaking cookie dough from the bowl when she wasn’t looking! His favorite high school memory was being in Mr. Kelly’s class. The class Gunner enjoyed the most was Mr. Kelly’s, because he made his life better. He accepted Gunner and helped make him a better student and person. His biggest pet peeve is his brother Eston always fooling around and messing with him—especially when he’s trying to sleep. Outside of school, Gunner enjoys fishing because that’s when he gets the most time with his family. If he had one wish, it would be to have gotten the chance to fish with his Grandpa Howard. The three words that best describe him are big-hearted, easygoing, and creative. After high school, Gunner plans to attend a welding institution, where he will complete his welding degree before hitting the road as a traveling union welder. In 10 years, he sees himself living in a farmhouse, married to Kenadie Dover, and having 10 kids (all boys). Three things on his bucket list are: to go to Key West, Florida; throw the first pitch at a St. Louis Cardinals game; and own a Toyota Supra. The person he admires most is his mom, because she has always worked so hard to give him the best life. Regardless of what she had to go through, she has always pushed him to do better. She taught him that no matter what happens in life, there is always a positive in every negative. She showed him how to love and taught him how to be a good man. The teacher who had the biggest impact on Gunner is Mr. Kelly, because from Day 1, Mr. Kelly believed in him. He accepted Gunner for who he is—with all his shenanigans. He reminded him of what an awesome kid he was and that he could do anything he put his mind to. Mr. Kelly rocks! The thing Gunner will miss the most about Milan C-2 High School is Mr. Kelly. The advice Gunner would give underclassmen is: You may think that high school sucks, but just stay positive about it. There are teachers like Mr. Kelly who help you see the light at the end of the tunnel—and will help make you successful!

🎉🎉2025 Senior Spotlight 🎉🎉Caleb Alexander Pearce will be a 2025 graduate of Milan C-2 High School and is the son of Carter and Kristen Pearce and brother of Gabe and Ethan Pearce. His favorite childhood memory is running to hug his dad at the airport when he came back from overseas after one of his deployments was over. Caleb has been involved in FFA for 4 years, Trap Shooting for 3 years, Track for 2 years, and Basketball for 1 year. He also played Football for 3 years where he made All District O-Line, All Conference Second Team O-Line, and All Conference First Team D-Line during his senior year. The activity he enjoyed most was football because it was a good place to release my anger.  His favorite high school memory was when his friend group played hallway tag in 10th grade.  The classes Caleb enjoyed the most were Algebra 1 & 2, because Mr. Hayes always made him think outside the box and not just with math but with life in general. The teacher that had the biggest impact on Caleb was Mr. Hayes, because he wants the best for his students and would use unconventional ways to attain their best. He also helped him prepare for his future in the Marines. His biggest pet peeve is liars.  Outside of school, Caleb enjoys working in the shop and trail riding with the boys. If he had one wish, it would be to stay in touch with all his friends after high school. The three words that best describe him are practical, stubborn, and strong-willed. After High School, Caleb plans to ship out to San Diego, California for Marine Corp Boot Camp. In 10 years, Caleb has no idea where he will be or what he will be doing, but he can’t wait to find out.  Three things on his bucket list are to see the Colosseum in Rome, do his part in watering the Tree of Liberty, and have more money than he knows what to do with . The people he admires most are his parents because they are both very hard-working, and they always put their wants aside for what they think is best for their family. The thing Caleb will miss the most about Milan C-2 High School is playing football. If there was one way he could be remembered at MHS, it would be as a friend that is always there for others. The advice Caleb would give underclassmen would be to not take all the little things for granted, because sometimes the smallest things are really the most important.

🎉🎉2025 Senior Spotlight 🎉🎉Pamela Nicole Alonso Alvarez will be a 2025 graduate of Milan C-2 High School and is the daughter of Brenda Alvarez and Ricardo Alonso and sister of Andrea Alonso Alvarez. Her favorite activity to do with her family is to travel. Her favorite childhood memory is traveling together or having big family cookouts with food, music, and competitive games.  Pamela has been involved in FBLA (4 years), Yearbook (2 years), Cheer (2 years), Multicultural Club (3 years), and NHS (2 years) at Milan C-2. The activity she enjoys most is FBLA because she learned a lot about business leadership and enjoyed the fun competitiveness of the conferences. Her favorite high school memory is cheering with her closest friends and learning new stunts together. Her personal favorite was basket tosses.  Her biggest pet peeve is when people are pessimistic or unnecessarily mean.  Outside of school, Pamela enjoys spending time with her friends, cooking, and having movie nights. If she had one wish, it would be to have the ability to fly. The three words that best describe her are benevolent, hardworking, and passionate.  After High School, Pamela plans to attend MCC for two years in pursuit of a degree in criminology and from there to find a school that best suits her career plan. In 10 years, she sees herself traveling across the world, being successful, and owning a house of her own. Three things on her bucket list are skydiving, buying a summer home in Mexico, and going to Paris.  The person she admires most is her sister because she has always been a role model, offers the best constructive advice, and is the most authentic person she knows.  The thing Pamela will miss the most about Milan C-2 High School is having funny class discussions that had nothing to do with what they were doing in class. If there was one way she could be remembered at MHS, it would be as someone who was kind and easy-going. The advice Pamela would give underclassmen is to experience high school the way you want to, have as much fun as you can (responsibly), and keep your future self in mind. Contrary to some beliefs, high school can be a fun experience, sometimes it really just is that phone!

🎉🎉2025 Senior Spotlight 🎉🎉Nancy Salazar will be a 2025 graduate of Milan C-2 High School and is the daughter of Yolanda Ramirez and Jesus Salazar and sister of Citlally Salazar and Miriam Ramirez. Nancy's favorite activity to do with her family is to travel to Mexico. Her favorite childhood memory is when Miriam threatened to leave her and Jais at the store because of the way they were behaving, which she did leave ( she did a circle around the store and came back) Or the time when Citlally, Leslie, and John created a whole crime scene out of ketchup and dolls just to scare her and Jais. Nancy thought it was traumatic at the moment, but looking back at it now, it built character.   Nancy has been involved in FBLA (4 years), Yearbook (2 years), Art Club (2 years), Multicultural (2 years), and Cheer (2 years) at Milan C-2. The activity she enjoys the most is FBLA because of the memories she has made on the trips. Her favorite high school memory is when she and Nayshla discovered their synchronizing laughs during cheer practice. The class Nancy enjoyed the most was the yearbook because, apart from taking her work seriously, it was a class full of laughter and jokes. Her biggest pet peeve is when someone starts speaking to her and then proceeds to say “never mind” in the middle of what they were saying. Outside of school, Nancy enjoys listening to music, hanging out with her family and friends, and going on trips. If she had one wish, it would be that she could stay young forever. The three words that best describe her are warm-hearted, ambitious, and strong-willed. After High School, Nancy plans to attend NCMC to get an associate degree in Health Science and then transfer to UMKC to further her studies in hopes of becoming a dermatologist one day. In 10 years, she sees herself getting married and traveling. Three things on her bucket list are to have Cornelio Vega y su Dinastia play at her wedding, build her dream home, and move to Mexico City after she retires.  The people she admires most are her dad and mom because even though they endured the toughest of hardships, they never gave up on themselves. They are the greatest example of “el que quiere, puede”. The teacher who had the biggest impact on Nancy is Mrs. Yocom because she felt like her school mom and was the teacher she truly felt she could go to for help. The thing Nancy will miss the most about Milan C-2 High School is her friends' presence. If there was one way she could be remembered at MHS, it would be for being joyful. The advice Nancy would give underclassmen is to never allow someone's ugly ruin your beauty.

Tony states that Coach Dabney showed him dedication and passion for believing in him.
