🎉🎉2026 Senior Spotlight 🎉🎉Today, we’re celebrating one of our seniors! 🎓
Addison Sylvester will be a 2026 graduate of Milan C-2 High School and is the daughter of Megan Stephenson and Daniel Sylvester. Addison is the sister of Andra, Emily, Derrick, and Katlynn Sylvester and Kendrick Smith. Her favorite childhood memories were spent with her siblings.
Addison has been involved in FFA (4 years), Softball (4 years), Tech Intern (3 years), National Honor Society (2 years), Basketball (2 years), Track (2 years), Student Council (1 year), and FBLA (1 year) at Milan C-2. The activity she enjoys most is FFA because she is able to be herself and meet many new people. Her favorite high school memories are winning State and National FFA Knowledge with Lexi, Gracie, Hayden, and Mr. Sayre, as well as the many knowledge practices.
The class Addison enjoyed the most was Greenhouse because she loves taking care of plants and spending the class time with her friends. Her biggest pet peeve is when people have no compassion for others. Outside of school, Addison enjoys spending time with her family and friends, especially the countless nights watching Love Island and softball tournaments with Katlynn. If she had one wish, it would be to have photographic memory.
After High School, Addison plans to attend Moberly Area Community College (Columbia) and enter the Surgical Technology program. Upon completion, she plans to pursue a career as a Surgical Technologist. In 10 years, she sees herself continuing her career and living a life that she loves. Three things on Addison’s bucket list are to visit many states and countries, see Harry Styles in concert, and have a Maine Coon cat.
The person Addison admires most is her mom because she is the most selfless person she has ever met. No matter the circumstances, she has done everything she can to give Addison and Kendrick the best life possible. She is also someone that Addison could come to with anything and never fear judgment. Addison also admires her work ethic and her strive to be the best at what she does.
The thing Addison will miss the most about Milan C-2 High School is having an excuse to see her friends every day. The advice Addison would give underclassmen is to prioritize their grades early, because in the end, it will all be worth it.

Gavin Hoerrmann will be a 2026 graduate of Milan C-2 High School and is the son of Kristen Hoerrmann and brother of Alex Solares and Savanna Hoerrmann. His favorite activity to do with his family is family dinners and get-togethers. His favorite childhood memory is riding in the skid steer while his uncle Jordan operated it while plowing the driveway of snow.
The activity he enjoys most is welding because when he is under the hood, everything goes quiet, and it’s just him and his welding rod. His favorite high school memory is when he was introduced to welding in AG class.
The class Gavin enjoyed the most was welding class because of all the projects they did and how much fun they had in the class. His biggest pet peeve is when someone chews with their mouth open.
Outside of school, Gavin enjoys working on the farm, working cattle, harvesting crops, working with Littrell's towing and recovery, and spending time with his fiancée and family. If he had one wish, it would be to save his money rather than spend it on pointless things. The three words that best describe him are motivated, hard-working, and determined.
After High School, Gavin plans to continue working on the farm and then acquire his CDL to haul cattle. In 10 years, he sees himself owning his own house and starting a farm, being married, and having kids. Three things on his bucket list are going on vacation to Wyoming, starting his own trucking business, and having a successful farm.
The person he admires most is his uncle Jordan because he is hard-working, determined, and motivated to always get things done.
The teacher who had the biggest impact on Gavin is Miss Doak because she was always patient and understanding, and always had the time to help him understand things better when needed.
The thing Gavin will miss the most about Milan C-2 High School is seeing his friends every day. If there was one way he could be remembered at MHS, it would be having the best mustache.
The advice Gavin would give underclassmen is to save your money and build a life rather than build a truck.

🎉🎉2026 Senior Spotlight 🎉🎉Today, we’re celebrating one of our seniors! 🎓
Hailey Clay will be a 2026 graduate of Milan C-2 High School and is the daughter of Chassie Clay and sister of Cole Clay. Her favorite activity to do with her family is playing Phase 10. Her favorite childhood memory is having her brother drive her around in his Power Wheels.
Hailey has been involved in FFA(4), Color Guard(4), Art Club(3), Upward Bound(3) Scholar Bowl(2), Book Club(2), and NHS(2) at Milan C-2. The activity she enjoys most is reading. Her favorite high school memory is when she competed in color guard her freshman year.
The class Hailey enjoyed the most was Art Class because Mrs. Coursey made art fun and expressive.
Outside of school, Hailey enjoys hanging out with her friends and gossiping with them. The three words that best describe her are artistic, driven, and diligent.
After High School, Hailey plans to attend Truman State University and obtain a bachelor’s degree in nursing and eventually become a flight or travel nurse. In 10 years, she sees herself making good money and traveling. Three things on her bucket list are skydiving, exploring the Roman Colosseum or the Catacombs in Paris, and seeing the northern lights.
The person she admires most is her mom because she taught her to be independent and inspired her to live life without worrying about what others think.
The teacher who had the biggest impact on Hailey is Mrs. Coursey because she was patient, encouraging, and cared about the success of the team in color guard, and she inspired confidence.
The thing Hailey will miss the most about Milan C-2 High School is seeing her friends every day. If there was one way she could be remembered at MHS, it would be as someone genuine, has a strong work ethic, and made a positive impact in extracurricular activities.
The advice Hailey would give underclassmen is to hang out with your friends as much as possible and surround yourself with good people.
